The bar is run by two lovely Australian girls who are the best thing about this hostel. The breakfast is good, apart from powdery yolked eggs, but avoid the kebabs unless you absolutely have to- street kebabs are much better and cheaper.

Bahaus is a fun place to stay, not as clean as I was expecting, given all the comments on hostels.com. It's in sultanamet which is a good touristy spot, but a bit far from the more hipper, urban parts of town which are across the bridge. my only complaint was the horrible lumpy beds and pillows, they were so uncomfortable and the not so cleanliness of the hostel but other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we met lots of cool people .

Very disappointed in Bahaus Hostel. They overbook and do not honor reservations despite taking deposits. Also my wife (and another female guest sharing our room) had problems with staff entering the room to linger for no apparent reason.

Great location and character. If you hire their airport shuttle service, though, make sure you're on time as they don't make a list and won't look for you!
