People who are used to certain modern amenities will not like this hostel. Dim fluorescent lighting, inconsistent hot water, sparse, mismatched furnishings. However, it's very inexpensive, so expecting more than this would be unreasonable. The best part is the staff. They were so friendly and helpful--even after my stay, I found myself in a tricky situation trying to hail a taxi. I went into San Jose, and the clerk helped me call one. Muchas gracias a Hospedaje San Jose!
