It was definitely not a bad hostel. The front entrance looked a bit shady but once inside it was quite nice. Clean, free breakfast and nice staff. Annoying was that the lock of the frontdoor was really messed up. Almost noone was able to get it open properly, so you had to hope that the reception was manned if you wanted to be sure you could get in. The fact that there was only one bathroom was also a negative point because of the queues in the morning. Because of the fact that it was quit

Had a great time here and it's true that it feels like being at home with friends. All the staff, specially Raul and Caruso, were extremely helpful and fun to be with.

Great place. Four of us went to NYC for the thanksgiving day parade. Gotham had very clean basic rooms with clean, warm sheets and a well maintained bathroom. Towels and basic breakfast foods were provided. Staff was friendly and always available; they were extremely helpful with navigating the city. Bit of a hike up four flights of steep stairs but not that bad. A laptop was provided for guest use. Hostel is about two blocks from times square and broadway. Nice clean place, nice location, I'd d
