your hostel was terrible. if i ll come back to NYC i ll never choose your hostel. your stuffs are not helpful and rooms are dirty.

We are the YMCA and as such do provide guest room services along with many other amenties of which are free of charge with your stay. Our building is almost 100 years old. Most people equate old with dirty but dirty it is not. We clean our rooms on a daily basis and provide a private room for your use - not a just a bed where you have to share with others. It is not for the unseasoned traveller and is located in a relative residential and quiet district. I am sorry your stay was unpleasant

I loved the staff but the rooms are worn down and I "met"the biggest cockroach I've ever seen in my life (but there are roaches everywhere in NYC).

I'm not sure why this is listed online. It seems more like housing projects. Not ideal travelers. Very sketchy location. Takes a while to get to via subway from manhattan especially at off hours. Hairs on bed. Flies in bathroom.
